It’s a coconut shake recipe packed full of nutrients

This mango coconut shake is great because it is packed full of healthy nutrients.

Mangoes are full of polyphenols, which are antioxidants that can protect against DNA damage, which can lead to Type 2 diabetes or cancer. Mangoes are also full of Vitamin A, which helps the immune system to function properly, and mangoes may also help to improve blood sugar regulation.

Pineapple is full of Vitamin C and manganese, have antioxidants that can help to fight diseases, and contain bromelain, which may help to reduce the risk of cancer.

Finally, coconut yogurt is a great source of MCTs, which have anti-aging, heart-protective, and cognitive function improvement properties.

Refreshing pineapple mango coconut smoothie recipe

Ingredients you will need

Pineapple – You can use fresh or frozen pineapple for this recipe. Sometimes frozen is a bit easier, as you can store what you don’t use. Or get fresh, and any extra pineapple you have left over can be put in to the freezer, or another recipe like this healthy watermelon pineapple smoothie.

Mango – As with the pineapple, you can use fresh or frozen mango for this recipe. Just bear in mind – fresh mango can get messy! But it tastes seriously amazing. In fact, once you have the mango in this smoothie, I reckon you’ll want some other mango smoothie recipes! I love mango-based smoothies, and recommend you check out this AMAZING strawberry mango smoothie recipe or this mango coconut smoothie (that has no pineapple).

Coconut yogurt – If you have never had coconut yogurt in a smoothie, you are about to have your mind blown! Coconut yogurt smoothies are amazing. The coconut yogurt flavour adds so much without being overwhelming. It makes smoothies taste so fresh, like in this super fresh Strawberry coconut milk smoothie recipe. Just note that not all coconut yogurts are created equal! Some are not pure coconut yogurt, but are dairy yogurt with coconut flavouring. Some are a mixture. And some are pure coconut. Also, some have added sugars and sweeteners and some do not. I like So Delicious coconut yogurt, as it is made with organic coconut milk.
