I have to tell you from the outset – this mango blueberry smoothie is one of the best smoothies I have ever had. Now, I have been known to say that a lot, but at worst this smoothie has to rank in the top 10! There is something about it. It is so fresh, has such a great flavour from the mixture of mangoes, blueberries, and coconut yogurt, and I just want more every time I have one!

This smoothie is great if you want to get some fruit in you as a fruit smoothie, if you want a cheeky snack, or if you are looking for a weight loss smoothie.

Why this is the BEST mango blueberry smoothie!

Uh… this blueberry mango smoothie tastes bloomin’ amazing!

There’s something about coconut yogurt in a smoothie mixed with fruit. It just tastes so good! I have no idea why, the flavour mix is amazing. On top of that, fruit + coconut makes you feel like you are on some island paradise somewhere!

Now, if you are not a fan of coconut, fear not! I also am not a huge fain of plain coconut, but coconut yogurt doesn’t have that overwhelming coconut flavour. It’s a lot more delicate, and a bit sweet, so it’s great in smoothies. So give it a try in this mango blueberry smoothie recipe.

On top of this, blueberries have this really great subtle flavour that they add in to the mix which means it would not be the same without them.

Trust me when I say you are going to LOVE this blueberry mango smoothie!

It’s oh-so simple to make this mango and blueberry smoothie

Oh, another great thing about this mango blueberry coconut smoothie is that it is super-easy to make. You can use frozen mango and frozen blueberries, which saves you having to keep fresh fruit on hand. Keep them in the freezer and you can make this whenever you want!

With only 3 ingredients + water, there is nothing complicated, here. Coconut yogurt is so easy to find these days, that you won’t have a problem picking any up. Just be sure to find one that works with your diet. Not all coconut yogurts are the same, and you have to make sure you pick one that works with your dietary requirements.-Some are actually dairy yogurts with coconut flavouring, some are pure coconut, and some are a mixture. I suggest you use something like So Delicious Coconut Yogurt, because it’s made with organic coconut milk, and is a pure coconut yogurt instead of being mixed with dairy.

This is a mango smoothie with yogurt, blueberries and coconut – It’s healthy for you!

The great thing about this mango and blueberry smoothie is that it is full of healthy ingredients.

Mangoes may protect against cancer and Type 2 diabetes through their polyphenols. Because of their high Vitamin A content, mangoes can boost the immune system. And, did you know – 1 cup of mangoes provides 75% of your daily Vitamin C requirement?! There are so many more health benefits of mangoes, so it’s great this amazing-tasting fruit plays a key role in this mango smoothie with yogurt!

Blueberries are one of the most nutrient-dense berries, high in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, fibre and Manganese. They have one of the highest levels of antioxidants out of all fruits, which is great! Blueberries also reduce DNA damage, may lower blood pressure, and may reduce the risk of heart disease.

Finally, coconut yogurt is great for the digestive system, as it’s a probiotic. It also is full of healthy fats, which doctors say we need to consume more of!

So rest assured you are having a healthy smoothie when you drink this blueberry coconut smoothie with mango!

PS Another great thing about this is that it is a vegan mango blueberry smoothie! Just be sure to get pure coconut yogurt, as some are made with dairy products.

This blueberry coconut smoothie with mango is versatile –  Tips and swaps!

One of the great things about this mango and blueberry smoothie is that it is pretty versatile. If you are a huge fan of mangoes (which you should be!!!), you can add more of them without changing the flavour too much.

If you LOVE blueberries, you will have to add more of them than you would mangoes, as they don’t have quite as strong effect on the flavour of the overall smoothie.

In regards to the coconut yogurt, you could swap this with coconut milk (and also remove the water if you do so), but bear in mind it will have a stronger coconut flavour, and, of course, change the nutrient content.

If you don’t have coconut yogurt, plain yogurt will work fine, too, although you will miss the coconut flavour. There is something about coconut yogurt with mangoes that works SO WELL. But plain yogurt will be fine in this blueberry and mango smoothie.

Ingredients you will need

Mango – You can use fresh or frozen for this mango blueberry smoothie. There is an argument to use frozen over fresh, as it’s less messy and quicker, but I really love fresh mango, so that’s what I tend to use!

Blueberries – As with the mango, frozen or fresh will work when making this blueberry and mango smoothie.

Coconut yogurt – Bear in mind that not all coconut yogurts area created equal! Some are actually dairy yogurts with coconut flavouring, some are mixtures, and some are pure coconut yogurt. I like So Delicious Dairy Free Coconut Yogurt, as it is made with organic coconut milk. Talking of coconut milk, if you want to make your own, check out my super simple organic coconut milk recipe that you can make yourself easily!
