“This keto mocha fat bomb smoothie is a great way to get some quick calories and a caffeine hit in a deliciously creamy way!”

If you need a large amount of calories in one quick hit, then a fat bomb is your friend. Fat is very calorie dense, so consuming it quickly racks up the calories. This Keto mocha fat bomb smoothie is no exception!

A word of warning: this Keto mocha smoothie is cream-heavy, so if you don’t like cream, it may not be for you. That being said, the cream fits very well with the chocolate and coffee flavours, so you should still be okay with this.

Why this keto mocha fat bomb smoothie is amazing

It tastes like a mocha smoothie

Often people get worried about the word “Keto” if they are not on or have not experienced a Ketogenic diet. But it’s really nothing to be scared of, particularly for individual recipes! All it means is that it has a very low amount of carbohydrates.

Sometimes Keto recipes really don’t taste like the real thing, but this tastes exactly like you would expect a mocha smoothie to taste like –  a mocha that is a bit thicker!

This Keto mocha smoothie will fill you up with calories

Being Keto-friendly, this weighs in at a measly 5.4g of net carbs. But being full of fat calories, it packs a punch at 444.4kcal!

So if you are looking for an alternative to a Bulletproof coffee, this Keto mocha fat bomb smoothie may be a good option for you.

This is a Keto coffee smoothie

Normal coffees are often full of sugar. And, as we know, sugar equals carbohydrates. Whether it comes from the milk or the syrup, carbohydrates in coffees can quickly add up if you are not careful.

This mocha smoothie substitutes the milk for cream and the sugar for natural sweetener (I used Stevia). If you get a dark chocolate cocoa, you will keep those net carbs low.

Things to look out for and swaps

If you don’t have Espresso powder, you can use ground coffee, but it will be a bit gritty.

if you prefer your Keto mocha smoothie a bit more chocolatey, simply add more cocoa. I would avoid reducing the coffee amount, though, otherwise you will lose any semblance of a mocha!

If you find the recipe a bit too thick, try removing some of the cream and substituting with water. I would not remove more than half of the cream, though, as it will end up watery and not have as deep a flavour.

Supplements you can add to your Keto mocha smoothie

Any plain tasting or sweet tasting supplements you have can be added to this fat bomb smoothie. But if you add anything sour or bitter, it will greatly affect the flavour.
